Our Mission
Welcome to My Designer Diary! I created this website shortly after graduating from university to document my journey with decorating my first long-term apartment. As a young adult in the world today, it is so easy to get discouraged looking at beautiful design ideas – many are exorbitantly expensive or are things that are simply not possible when renting (home ownership is unfortunately still light years away for many of us).
However, it is my firm belief that anyone can create a beautiful space for themselves, no matter their rental situation or budget! This website is dedicated to helping people create the home of their dreams, through budget-friendly solutions, renter-safe hacks, DIY ideas, and more.
Investing in your space is so important – after all you are going to be spending a lot of time there. Designing a space that not only appeals to you aesthetically, but reflects your personality will have a significant impact on your enjoyment of your home life and even mental health. Our Vision
Putting effort into my personal space has had a far bigger impact on my mental health and happiness than I could have ever anticipated. Coming back to an apartment that inspires joy, and reflects who I am makes the end of long work days far more relaxing. It is my dream that everyone can experience this feeling.
